Perhaps for health reasons you need to stear away from processed snacks and embrace sweetness of a different kind.
I have tried to live a 'sugar free' way of life in the past for my personal health reasons, living with endometriosis and IBS, all play havoc with your choice of food groups. But it is still possible to live in a balanced way and not miss out on the sweetness in life, including sweet treats.

It is encouraged to have a balance of the 6 tastes in our meals of which sweet is one (sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent & spicy). So sweetness should be present in our lives, but it has to be the right kind of sweetness, that is when we can often get caught out.
So this month I wanted to introduce you to these sweet treats. They are so easy to prepare and my 'go to' snack when I feel the need for a small sweet pick me up. To help increase energy levels and general well being in body and mind.
I prepare them in advance and carry some in my hand bag and keep some in my cupboard.
It is just so simple.
- Medjool Dates
- Brazil Nuts
Remove the stone from each medjool date and replace with a brazil nut.
Simple as that.
