Taking a summer break

It is important to take breaks. Your business depends on it.

But isn't it just the hardest thing?

Especially if you are a small business owner, you probably have your eyes and ears in all the detail of every area, micro managing or over seeing.

What ever and however you work, you will be central to it all.

You give answers, provide solutions, convey information, supply data, encourage, support, inspire, day in and day out. You love to give and give and give some more.

Your clients love it. You are available for them, you are a wealth of resources and information. You have built trust and loyalty with them.

You support your clients completely. You are their expert.

But who is supporting you?

If your health is strong & robust you can support yourself. You can build up a resilience, a threshold that carries you through.

The high frequency of Cortisol.

Cortisol levels can run high, cortisol is the stress hormone, on which you can thrive, up to a point. Then the balance tips the other way and the only way is down.

If you crash then it may happen when you least expect it. As they say prevention is better than cure. So planning to be in tip top health as a priority of each day is your best way forward.

Take a break.

A digital detox. A real break. Try for one day, or half a day.

With no connections, no communications, a complete work switch off. It may take planning but it is possible and I know you and your business will thrive if you do.

If you can't manage a day. How about 7 minutes?
